Firefox slowing down your computer?
Working at a web design firm requires you to use an internet browser almost every second of the work day. Now we all love Firefox except the RAM hoggin it bullies the system out of in a few hours. If any of you have used this browser you know what I am talking about. Over time the Browser caches upto eight pages into your systems RAM memory, if you have 8 tabs open, which is not uncommon, then firefox can easily take upto 900+ MB of RAM by the time you reach lunch time. Taht coupled with the ever demanding operating system requriements by todays standards if you have 2gigs of RAM your memory will be maxed out by using Firefox & Vista alone.
At the links below you will find a simple fix that allows you to lower the cache of the Firefox browser, and a simple utility that enables you to clear the cache upon a click of a button. Hallelujah!
