Firefox slowing down your computer?
Working at a web design firm requires you to use an internet browser almost every second of the work day. Now we all love Firefox except how it bullies the system out of its available RAM to hog it all for itself.. If any of you have used this browser you know what I am talking about. Over time the Browser caches up to eight pages into your systems RAM memory, if you have 8 tabs open, which is not uncommon, then Firefox can easily take up to 900+ MB of RAM by the time you reach lunch time. That coupled with the ever demanding operating system requirements by today’s standards if you have 2gigs of RAM your memory will be maxed out by using Firefox & Vista alone.
At the links below you will find a simple fix that allows you to lower the cache of the Firefox browser, and a simple utility that enables you to clear the cache upon a click of a button. Hallelujah!
