Cell Phones

A while back I noticed that I really need a new cell phone. Well, it’s more of a want, but you get the point. The cell phone I have at the moment is over two years old and it’s a prepaid phone. Which is actually really expensive considering I text, a lot. It only takes about a week to use up about 150 minutes when I text which is $25 a phone card. So I was looking up phones on the Verizon Wireless website for a nice phone with a contract so I can get unlimited text messaging.

I found one I liked. Its called the Samsung Glyde. It gas a touch screen, Bluetooth, a 2.0 megapixel camera, and a QWERTY keyboard. They price of it isn’t to bad either. If I purchase it online it is only $79. I went through their plans and picked one I liked and I would only have to pay $61 per month which is a lot better than buying a $25 phone card every one or two weeks. Well, I think it is anyways.

I’m thinking about buying it today, but I’m not sure. Any thoughts?

Taylor is the man to talk to about phones. Of course I think what is on his wish list is an iPhone! I like the slide out keyboard. It’s like our HTC Pocket PC phones from Sprint. Your thumbs will be happy.

There’s a really good website called Phone Scoop that I always take a good look at before buying a new phone. The reviews for the Glyde aren’t that favorable (~3/5) so you might want to go in the store and check it out before you buy it.

I would love an iPhone but the monthly price is a little crazy ($99/mo).

Yea, I wouldn’t have minded an iPhone, but I wouldn’t be able to afford it. I bought the phone and so far it seems great.
