Taylor Trusty
Taylor Trusty is a partner with Ralph Severson in Blackstone Media. A native of Louisville, Taylor has seven years of experience in web development. His first job was as a programmer for Intent.net in 2001. He left there to become the youngest HP retail sales rep in the country at age 16. In 2004, he went to work for Waxpacks.com, an online seller of sports trading cards. In the fall of 2005, Taylor and two others at Waxpacks left the company to form their own firm, HobbyEdge Sports. What started in a garage with a $10,000 total investment from friends and family, HobbyEdge quickly grew and moved to a 2,000 square foot space in the Bluegrass Industrial Park. Taylor sold his interest in the company in 2006 and began talks with Ralph about working together. Over lunch one day, Taylor and Ralph decided to take his web development business, Alpha Direct Marketing, to the next level. They rechristened it Blackstone Media Network LLC and partnered up on August 1, 2006.
Taylor’s main goal for Blackstone Media is to ensure that our clients are ecstatic with the projects that we deliver for them. His greatest reward is hearing clients tell us that we are going to revolutionize the way they do business. When he is not working crazy hours (as entrepreneurs are often prone to do), he enjoys traveling, studying business and economics, working out, playing basketball, watching movies, listening to music, riding motorcycles, experiencing new cultures and people, and reading. Taylor describes himself as very analytical, but he also loves to laugh and make others laugh. Listening is very important to him.
Taylor’s experience, openness to people and ideas and his love of building client relationships makes him a vital part of the Blackstone Media team!
