Blackstone Media Network was initially founded as Alpha Direct Marketing, LLC in 1996. The company was founded by Ralph Severson in New Albany, IN to meet the needs of companies of all sizes that were becoming aware of the Internet and needed an online marketing presence.
Alpha Direct's responsibilities grew to also include website development and hosting over the following few years. Even while experiencing this growth, Ralph was able to deliver the same personalized touch that his clients had come to love.
One client was so pleased that she baked Ralph a cake, while countless others have expressed their gratitude in text or in person. His secret to success? Delivering what he said he would on-time, on-budget and without the double talk that other firms would give clients. Ralph specializes in explaining things in an easy-to-understand fashion and built his business using that simple method.
In 2006, Ralph teamed up with long-time associate Taylor Trusty to develop a full media services company. Taylor Trusty brings a technical and customer service background to the company. The new company, Blackstone Media, is able to provide services beyond the online marketing that started it all. Blackstone Media specializes in website development, hosting and marketing, while also providing clients with the resources needed to market themselves in traditional ways - through print, television and radio. The new name reflects the change in services offered by the company.
In April 2007, Blackstone Media started the move into their new offices in the Starks Building within the Fourth Street Live Entertainment District in downtown Louisville, KY. The new offices continue to allow Blackstone Media to grow while keeping the personal touch that has fueled the growth throughout the years.
