Blackstone Media's offices are in the 350,000 square feet, 14 story Starks Building in downtown Louisville, KY. Not long after we moved into our new offices, we realized that there was not a central directory that listed our new neighbors within the building.

We put it upon ourselves to develop an online directory allowing anyone to view other tenants within the building. There's no cost for tenants to be listed.

The photos used throughout the site were taken by us and formed the foundation of the site's unique design. The directory itself is AJAX driven. AJAX allows us to only pull the needed information for any particular action.

For instance, when you click on the "14th floor", it quickly goes to our server and asks for a list of all businesses on the 14th floor and returns that list to you. This is much faster than the traditional method of downloading and redrawing the entire page when any link is clicked. This leads to a consistent, fluid and fast user interface for the visitor.
